Mean Chey University strives to be as a first performance center of academic and applied sciences in Cambodia and Southeast Asia. There are many incredible resources, both human and technical, have supported this effort. The Mean Chey University is expected growing into a surround community, community of students, scholars, researchers, practitioners, staff, and faculty. The mission of Mean Chey University is to provide a synthesis of innovative education programs to outstanding professional opportunities for Cambodian and Foreign students. Educational programs for graduate , undergraduate and post graduate studies, as well as certificate programs, are developed to provide entry to successful careers and tools for professional development. With degrees in business, agriculture, foreign language, Information Technology, ,..etc the students of Mean Chey University are well prepared to enter the job market with skills that meet the needs of the contemporary workplace. The basic objectives of the University are:
  1. to assist students in development of their analytical capacity.
  2. to provide the necessary knowledge of the selected subject areas, and
  3. to introduce the attitude of personal responsibility necessary to function as a citizen in an interdependent world.


I.  To ensure the preeminence of learning, we will:
  1. Establish an environment where learning and the creation of knowledge are central to everything we do.
  2. Integrate teaching, scholarly and creative activities, and the exchange of ideas.
  3. Assess student learning collegially and continually use the evidence to improve programs.
  4. Develop and maintain attractive, accessible, and functional facilities that support learning.
  5. Integrate advances in information technologies into learning environments.
  6. Develop a strong library which provides rapid access to global information and serves as a nexus for learning.
II.  To provide high quality programs that meet the evolving needs of our students, community, and region, we will:
  1. Support undergraduate , post graduate and graduate programs in professional and pre-professional studies and in the arts and sciences.
  2. Integrate knowledge with the development of values, professional ethics, and the teamwork, leadership, and citizenship skills necessary for students to make meaningful contributions to society.
  3. Develop a coherent and integrated general education program.
  4. Provide experiences in and out of the classroom that attend to issues of culture, ethnicity, and gender and promote a global perspective.
  5. Offer continuing education programs that provide retraining and meet professional certification and other community needs.
  6. Provide opportunities to learn from external communities through internships, cooperative education, and other field activities.
III.  To enhance scholarly and creative activity, we will:
  1. Support faculty research and grant activity that leads to the generation, integration and dissemination of knowledge.
  2. Leverage our membership within the largest university system in the Cambodia to advance the University's mission.
  3. Encourage, recognize, and reward interdisciplinary and cross-unit collaboration.
